APPLYING FOR YOUR CONCEALED CARRY PERMITS

  • MARYLAND WEAR & CARRY PERMIT

    Access the Licensing Portal: Navigate to the official Maryland State Police Licensing Portal.

    Create/Log In to Account:

    If you're a new user, click "Create My Account" and follow the prompts to register.

    If you already have an account, simply "Log In."

    Note: Each applicant must have a unique, personal email address for their account.

    Start Your Application: Once logged in and your account is activated, click on "Start HGP" to begin the Wear/Carry Permit application.

    Complete the Application: Fill out all sections of the application thoroughly.

    Electronically Submit Required Documents: All supporting documents must be uploaded directly to the portal. These include:

    Your firearms training certificate.

    A passport-style photo.

    Your fingerprint receipt number from an electronic LiveScan submission.

    Important Notes:

    You must successfully complete the required firearms training (16 hours for initial applications, 8 hours for renewals) from an MSP-approved instructor before submitting your application, unless you are exempt.

    LiveScan fingerprints are required for initial applications. Ensure you provide the LiveScan technician with the correct authorization and ORI numbers for a Wear and Carry Permit application.

  • FLORIDA CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT

    APPLYING BY MAIL:

    Get the Application: Download the application form from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) website: https://licensing.freshfromflorida.com/forms/FormsRequest790.aspx

    Submit Fingerprints: Contact your local law enforcement agency to submit your fingerprints. You can do this electronically or using a traditional hard card.

    Gather Documents: Prepare the following for mailing:

    A passport-style photo taken within the last 30 days.

    A photocopy of your firearms training certificate.

    If you have a history of arrests, include certified copies of court documents showing the final outcome of those charges.

    A complete, clear set of fingerprints or a copy of your electronic fingerprint submission receipt.

    A check or money order for the application fee.

    Mail Everything: Send your completed application and all supporting documents to the Department of Agriculture.

    Processing Time: FDACS has 90 days from the time they receive a complete application to either issue or deny your license.

    APPLYING ONLINE:

    Gather Digital Documents: Have the following ready:

    A digital, passport-style photo taken within the last 30 days.

    Your firearms training certificate.

    If you have a history of arrests, you'll need certified copies of court documents showing the final outcome of those charges.

    Complete Online Application: Fill out the online application and pay the required fee.

    Submit Fingerprints: You must submit your fingerprints within 90 days of your online application submission.

    Notification: FDACS will notify you by mail regarding the approval of your application.

  • ARIZONA CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT

    Complete Firearms Training: Take a firearms safety training course. If you meet one of the exemptions discussed previously, you don't need to take the course.

    Fill Out the Application: Complete the Concealed Carry Weapons Permit application form.

    Gather Your Documents: Prepare the following items to submit with your application:

    Two completed fingerprint cards.

    Your certificate or document proving firearms competence.

    A payment of $60 (money order, cashier's check, or certified check) made out to the AZ DPS.

    Mail Your Packet: Send your entire application packet to: AZ DPS CWPU P.O. Box 6488 Phoenix, AZ 85005

    Wait for Notification: The AZ DPS will notify you by mail about the approval of your application in approximately 75 days.
